Cancellation Policy

Furniture & Made-to-Order Products

  • Orders can be cancelled within 48 hours of placing the order, subject to a 5% cancellation fee (shopify + payment gateway charges).
  • After 48 hours, the order is locked into production and cannot be cancelled.

Non-Furniture Products (Décor, Accessories)

  • For non-furniture items, you may cancel anytime before dispatch.
  • A 4.5% fee (shopify + payment gateway charges) applies on non-furniture order cancellations.

Customised Products

  • Any orders with custom fabric selections, finishes, or personalization cannot be cancelled after 48 hours of order placement.

Dispatch & Delivery Restrictions

  • If your order is delayed due to your unavailability and held at our warehouse beyond 2 weeks, a Holding Cost of 5% of the order value/month + 18% GST applies.
  • Dispatch will resume only after full payment of holding charges.

Why We Have This Policy

Gruhome operates on a made-to-order, zero-inventory model. Cancellations result in wasted materials, lost artisan hours, and downstream costs. This policy allows us to:

  • Maintain fair pricing for all customers.
  • Ensure artisan livelihoods are protected.
  • Avoid unnecessary wastage in production.

Refund Timeline

Approved refunds are processed within 7 working days to the original payment method or the Gruhome Wallet (valid for 12 months).
